One of the 10 most beautiful beaches of Sardinia
The Tuerredda Beach (in the municipality of Teulada) is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. The beach is situated in a beautiful bay between Cape Malfatano and Cape Teulada, a few miles from Chia (seaside resort in the province of Cagliari); white and fine sand, with a transparent and crystal clear sea such as in a Caribbean landscape! The beach is surrounded by rich mediterranean vegetation, and we can find trees of juniper and of mastic tree, while right in front of the beach, a few hundred meters from the shore, is located a small island, easily accessible by swimming in a few minutes. The Tuerredda islet, is covered with mediterranean scrub low and scented, with smooth rocks and sand on which you can spend a bit of time lying down, caressed by the grecale wind, or you can take a walk inside and discover its untouched nature. The sea bottom of the beach is crystal clear and shallow(it is only a few meters deep near the islet), and the temperature of the water is ideal for long swims. Beach not to be missed !!!
To get to Tuerredda, starting from Cagliari, along the SS195 in the direction of Teulada, turn right to Chia and then continue for about 10 Kilometers until you get to the beach. Here you will find a parking and a kiosk-bar, a restaurant, and you’ll also have the opportunity to rent canoes, paddle boats and rafts for trips in the area.
Also, in the area of the Bay of Chia, we find another wonderful beach, the Beach of “Sa Giudeu”, white and fine sand, and crystal clear sea with a sea bottom particularly low, safe for children to play and ideal for divers. Also this beach is equipped for those wishing to spend there a nice relaxing day!
To get to Sa Giudeu, take the SS195 and follow the signs to the beach. Arriving at the beach you will find a large car park, bar, restaurant, hotel and camping.
