Our trip in the oasis of Sardinia continues, and today we talk about the Lipu Oasi of Carloforte (for visits Tel: 3382776307) in the spectacular volcanic island of San Pietro. The Oasi of Carloforte has a remarkable variety of natural environments that give it an unusual and wild appearance. Here you can see among others the rare Eleonora’s falcon that nests every summer on the cliffs. But you can also see other species such as Gheppio(Kestrel), Poiana(Buzzard) and Pellegrino(Peregrine Falcon). You could see the rare Audouin’s gull circling above the clear blue sea with his particular coral red beak. The Marangonedal Ciuffo(Phalacrocorax aristotelis, European shag), posed on a rock or intent to fish, catch our attention with his funny behavior. But the species and the surprises do not end here and if walking does not scare you, indeed restores you, then there are several nature trails marked with panels that depart from the visitor center of Cape Sandalo. In the summer, in order to enhance the work of visiting and awareness, there is also the base camp in the village of Cala Fico.
