Ancient grape that is grown in an area located north-west of the province of Sassari. It prefers sunny calcareous-argillaceous soils, is still cultivated with tree-Sardinian system or low counter-espaliers. Is enriched with sugars and polyphenolic substances that give the wine complexity and structure. Analogous to the Sardinian wine Bovale, the Doc Alghero Cagnulari originates from this grape variety. Featuring a brilliant ruby red color this wine has good aromatic intensity with intense aromas of berries and jams and delicate balsamic notes. Dry and pleasantly fruity, has a structure warm and lively, in which you perceive delicate acidity and soft tannins. Average persistence on the palate, with fruity and floral notes. Fresh and clean final. We suggest it with salami, pasta in red sauce and spicy, soups, white and red meat grilled or pan, medium-aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 14-16 ° C and uncork the bottle at the time of serving.
