White Wine DOC
The vine Torbato, is a white grape variety of undoubted Spanish origin, and grew significantly during the 300 years of permanence of the Catalans in Sardinia. Today is the less common on the island even though it is one of the finest. It is cultivated almost exclusively in the province of Sassari, in particular in the area of Alghero, a town with traditions of undoubted Catalan influence. The soils of this territory, made of limestone and clay, combined with the wonderful climate, warm and dry, are the factors that contribute to enhancing the high quality of the wine Torbato. Torbato is purely produced to obtain the eponymous wine, as well as a sparkling variety, both bearing the title of DOC Alghero. The wine shows a pale straw color fairly intense, delicate and fruity smells that remember marine notes and minerals but also intense hints of white flowers and fruit; lively and refreshing in the mouth with a slightly bitter finish.
On its own as an aperitif or at table with fish, crustaceans or white meats. Serve at a temperature of 8-10 ° C.
